Create Android apps in seconds with AppsGeyser

As the reputation of cellular phone applications increases exponentially, it’s not amazing that the hurdle to access for developing them is getting reduced. On Android operating system we’ve already seen Google’s own App Creator create lifestyle simpler for would-be designers. Now AppsGeyser is switching app growth into something that basically anyone can do.

Let’s be obvious before we begin, this is not going to let you create the next Upset Parrots or Foursquare. However, if you just want to develop a really simple app depending on Web material, you may well discover this to be the most convenient possible choice.

AppsGeyser is increasingly simple. There are three options: First of all, you can get into the URL of any mobile-formatted web page and it will be covered up into an app. Second, you can get into the HTML for any Web gadget rule and get it converted directly into an app. The third choice is to use a device on the website which can ‘Grab’ sections of Sites to convert them into applications.

appsgeyser Create Android operating system applications in a few moments with AppsGeyser

Once your app is finish, you can publish it to the Android operating system Industry (you’ll need to set up a Creator consideration with Search engines first) or obtain it to spread yourself. On the other hand, you could just keep it for personal use if you like.

It’s only been available since last 30 days, but co-founder Vasily Salomatov informs me that customers are already developing 1000 applications weekly with AppsGeyser. The Va, USA-based start-up, financed by BestToolbars, monetises its assistance by placing ads into the best doing applications. This implies that many applications, designed simply for personal use, will not consist of ads at all. However, makers of applications that do get ads placed will discuss income with the start-up.

Salomatov says that applications being designed using AppsGeyser are an assortment of well- known websites being transformed into applications for personal users’ comfort, and unique applications being designed as web icons by more knowledgeable programmers, who are then able to ‘Android-ize’ their initiatives with convenience.

Some will probably grumble that these are not ‘proper’ applications, just Web material covered up, while others may bemoan the point that this creates it much simpler than ever to overflow the Android operating system Industry with low-quality applications. However, no-one’s saying that every app out there has to be a task of specialized top quality and if someone with a extra five moments happens to fall upon a hit concept for for an app depending on their own web material, where is the harm?

AppsGeyser is totally able to use and available here.

FBI Can Remotely Activate Your Android Phone Mic or Laptop Cameras: Report

Uncle Sam thumb FBI Can Remotely Activate Your Android Phone Mic or Laptop Cameras: ReportIt wasn’t long ago when whole world was shocked at the revelation that NSA (National Security Agency) and FBI of United States of America has direct access to the servers of Google, Facebook, Microsoft, Skype, Yahoo, Apple and other internet companies, from where they can extract any user information at their will, without any authorization or approval required from justice and legal departments.
Situation has only worsen with this new finding that FBI can remotely activate the microphones and cameras of your smartphones running Google’s Android platform and laptops without users’ consent, reported WSJ.
Report said that FBI has been developing such hacking and surveillance tools for last ten years. Additionally, there are private firms which sell them such tools to spy the users. Without a doubt – as unveiled earlier – FBI has support from technology companies, such as Google, Microsoft, Apple and others.
Moreover, FBI uses spyware tools to record keystrokes or almost any activity on a computer or smartphone.
Report says that there are usually warrants required to undergo such surveillance on suspects, however, it argues that there were instances when FBI had recorded users’ data without any legal authorization.
With plenty of criticism about NSA’s PRISM program, this new hacking and spying practices from US law enforcement agencies are going to further hike the distrust level of technology users.
It merits mentioning here that there are over 900 million users with Android devices.
These revelations also raise serious questions about the privacy of individuals, which is seemingly brutally murdered by American government and agencies and buried hundreds of miles down under the turf.
Third world citizens are in desperate position, who had embraced these emerging technology gadgets and software for simplifying their lives, but ended up only to be watched by the American government.
Our own government, which can question American government about such shameless practices, is busy doing so many other use-less things.

Recover Your Lost or Stolen Phone with Android Device Manager

We all know how much pain and anxiety (read torture) a lost phone can give us. Everyone has experienced these situations at least once in their lifetime, but Google has set out to make your tough times much easier by rolling out the first official Android “Device locator”.
The tool is called Android Device Manager.
Android Device Manager Recover Your Lost or Stolen Phone with Android Device Manager
The Android Device Manager makes your phone shout aloud for you to hear and even lets you use the GPS to locate your device and see it in real time. The former can take place even if your phone is in silent mode.
And in case, you are still unable to find your device and fear that your data might end up in the wrong place, the service can also wipe all the data from your phone so that your personal info and identity remains secure.
The security tool will be available at the end of this month for devices running on Android 2.2 and later. A dedicated app will be released too, after that.
Such apps are nothing new though as a lot of manufacturers have already used the idea to their use. Actually, in all its honesty, some of the similar apps found in the Play Store are even better and offer more functionality. Still, it’s better to have something than nothing at all and it’s certainly quite useful as a lot of people are still unaware of this idea.

Hacker Modifies Facebook Home To Work On All Android Devices

Facebook Home hacked

Within few hours after Facebook Home arrived on Google Play, hackers from XDA forum have launched a modified version of Facebook Home that would remove the device-specific limitation. In other words, you can now use Facebook Home on any Android device. Facebook Home is currently available only to these devices – HTC One X, One X+, Samsung Galaxy S III, Galaxy Note II, and the HTC First.
The hack was performed by XDA Senior Member theos0o; who provides details and download links here. The hacker says there is no root needed for this hack. However you will have to uninstall original Facebook, Facebook messenger and Facebook home apps. If Facebook is pre-installed then you probably need root to remove it.
To download this modified version of Facebook home, please visit XDA Developersforum.

HP Announces the SlateBook x2 PC Running on Android

HP hybrid devices HP Announces the SlateBook x2 PC Running on Android
Android PCs aren’t exactly a new idea, by far, but not many of the bigger manufacturers are actually using it on their computers. HP, however, has dared enough to take up the challenge and has announced the SlateBook x2.
The SlateBook x2 is a convertible with a detachable keyboard and runs on Android Jelly Bean.

The Specs

The display of the tablet is of 10.1 inches and also boasts a Full HD resolution. The LED display is also multi-touch.
The SlateBook x2 runs on the latest Nvidia Tegra 4 processor clocked at 1.8Ghz and Intel HD 4000 graphics. It features 2 GB RAM and 16 GB SATA SSD. The Android 4.2-running PC uses Wifi, DLNA, Bluetooth and microSD card slot for connectivity.
The screen/tablet part of the PC can also connect with a keyboard through a magnetic mechanism. The keyboard houses the battery as well so connecting the keyboard will partly improve your battery life too. It also increases the no. of ports by adding a USB 2.0 port, another micro SD card slot and HDMI.
There are also 2 cameras at the front and back of the tablet for occasional snapping and video-calls.
The tablet will be launched this August for $479 without the keyboard, and $649 with one. That will put it in the Windows 8 laptop range, lots of whom can be found cheaper and that is far from an ideal situation to be. The thing is, that it wouldn’t matter much to you if all you want is a decent Android-running tablet, along with a processor. The real question, though, is that how many people want that?

Over Two-Thirds of All Tablets Shipped Last Quarter Were Android

Tablets on the market thumb Over Two Thirds of All Tablets Shipped Last Quarter Were Android
Continuing its dominance from smartphones, Android has certainly started to increase its lead drastically in the tablet market too.
According to a new report by Strategy Analytics, out of the 51.7 million tablets shipped in the last quarter, about 67% of tablets ran on Android OS. iOS-running iPads largely lagged competition at 28%.
Microsoft’s Windows-running tablets also saw an increase in their marketshare, making up for about 4.5% of the shipments in the last quarter.
By statistics, Android has made a mammoth leap from last year. In the same time period of 2012, Google and its OEMs had managed to attain a marketshare of 51.4% compared to Apple’s share of 47.2%. What’s critical here however, is that not only Apple’s marketshare, its sales dropped too, in Q2 of 2013 compared to 2012.
Overall, the tablet shipments of 36.2 million were substantially higher than the 24.6 million units shipped in the same quarter of the year before.
If you also combine the shipments of so-called “White-box” or the unbranded tablets, the sales reached a staggering 51.2 million units. While these figures definitely can’t match the sales of the smartphone market, these are certainly respectable in their own right.

Google Announces Android 4.3 Jelly Bean

Android 4.3 Jelly Bean Google Announces Android 4.3 Jelly Bean
Google has finally taken the curtains off the latest offering of its mobile OS. Some people might’ve been left disappointed again by Google’s reluctance to announce Key Lime Pie immediately but the new Android 4.3 Jelly Bean isn’t bad by any standards.
The update is largely an incremental one, which brings some performance improvements, alongside some software enhancements.
Here are the most-important features which the update brings:

Multiple-users and restrictions

The ability to make multiple profiles in a single device is a feature already brought in the previous versions of Android but Google has added the feature to restrict the “rights” of any particular profile just now. This is a bit similar to the Kid’s Corner in Windows Phone and here too you can select only a number of apps/features which can be accessed by the profile being restricted.
Different users can also make different environments with their respective widgets, homescreens and customizations.

Better notifications

Android 4.3 brings the ability to view your notifications history. Apps, accessories and games can now take even better control over your notification bar now and can be sent to other paired devices from there.

OpenGL ES 3.0

Android 4.3 brings support for OpenGL ES 3.0 graphics which will be great for games as it improves details. It brings much more complexity in both 2D & 3D (Google also demonstrated this at its event) and adds a real depth to the whole experience.
Things much more complex than Real Racing are coming soon. This feature will be available on the new Nexus 7, Nexus 4 and Nexus 10 as of now.

Low Energy Bluetooth mode and AVRCP

Bluetooth Smart is a new feature which interacts with accessories and will use the same technology to conserve the battery. Also added is Bluetooth AVRCP 1.3 which sends additional information to the audio device paired with your phone.

Better performance

Performance has been Android’s Achilles Heels but Google hasn’t made a secret that it has waged a war against it. The performance enhancements which were brought in Jelly Bean are built upon here. Vsync, touch latency, CPU input boosts, and others will make working on the OS smoother than before.
The rendering performance across various fronts have been improved drastically too.

Support for RTL Languages, Keyboard

Android 4.3 also brings support for languages which are written from right-to-left. The notifications bar, dialpad and lists, all are reworked for these specific keyboards. That will also be supported by a lot of pre-installed apps. Unfortunately, this is not available for Urdu yet but hopefully that will change in the future.
Emoji Keyboard also comes along with the system now and is activated by a long press on the spacebar key.

Software additions

Google is adding a Google Play Games app from Android 4.3 onwards which is a bit like Apple’s Game Center, where you have a leaderboard showing yours and your friend’s progress and the achievements you have accomplished.
Google Keep is yet another app which will be coming pre-installed and Hangouts will be replacing Talk officially. Several new additions like a separate menu for your disabled apps have been added as well.

Convenience for developers

Android 4.3 brings great convenience for developers. Apart from OpenGL ES, it also brings a vastly better Systrace tool which will give the developers an even better idea of their app’s performance.

When will it roll out?

The new Android 4.3 is already being rolled out to the Nexus 10, Nexus 4, Galaxy Nexus and the original Nexus 7 worldwide. Samsung Galaxy S4 and HTC One Google Editions will follow later. Other phones not running on stock-Android will be receiving the update through their respective manufacturers in the coming few months.
Android version 4.3 is a great step forward for both users and developers. Features like OpenGL ES don’t only open new doors for app-developers, but also make sure that users will get even better stuff in the future.

Android Tops Sales Charts in Q1 with 30 % Smartphones From Samsung Only

2013 smartphones wallpaper hd 1024x783 Android Tops Sales Charts in Q1 with 30 % Smartphones From Samsung Only
Gartner has released stats for smartphone and mobile phones sales for first quarter 2013, according to which Android smartphones grabbed 75 percent share from total smartphone sales, while Samsung sold 30 percent of these smartphones in first three months of current year.
Out of total 210 million smartphones sold in first quarter, 156 million devices were running on Android platform.
Smartphones sales grew by 50 percent or 63 million units during first quarter, as compared with duration last year, and reached 210 million units. This is almost half of overall mobile phones’ sales that stood at 425 million units.
Gartner said that more than half of the phones, i.e. 226 million unit were sold in Asia Pacific only.
Samsung remained the top mobile phone seller. Its share of smartphones reached 30.8 percent, up 3.2 percentage points from the first quarter of 2012. Samsung is poised to further strengthen its position with recently launched Galaxy S4.
Nokia’s mobile phones share dropped by 4.9 percent, naturally due to lesser sales of feature phone during the quarter. Nokia sold 5.1 million units of Windows phones.
